Efficiency Measurement: New Methods and Application to the Food Sector

This conferenec will present the state of the art of academic work in progress on measuring the effectiveness and productivity of firms. Presentations will focus both on improving the methods and applications used in the agro food sector. For example, methods for robust measures of production frontiers and directional measures of effectiveness will be discussed. Applications such as measuring changes in efficiency and productivity over time will also be discussed.
